A Grand Private Coastal Retreat

Such a romantic, private, secluded, mini-resort (great reviews!) with 8-ft white stucco walls & gates - surrounded with soaring palm trees and blooming tropical plants. Only a short 15 minute walk to the pristine beach of Delray and its award-winning Atlantic Avenue with its lively restaurants, boutiques and music. This luxurious 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath villa offers a very high quality beach vacation experience.

Villa Santorini has Italian terrazzo floors throughout and boasts a private resort style pool and deluxe white and aqua loungers. The meticulously maintained, professionally landscaped, tropical garden is completely enclosed by a beautiful solid white privacy fence creating a feeling of total luxury.

In front of the villa, Adirondack chairs greet you on the front porch, perfect for morning coffee and reading the morning paper. Later, enjoy your favorite cocktail while watching the moon rise over the trees. Custom lighting showcases the clean white lines of the home, which was renovated in 2012 by a real estate professional who lived in it himself.

All of the windows are hurricane rated, impact glass for total soundproofing as well as safety. The only exception to the cushion of quiet is the pitter-patter of raindrops on the cathedral ceiling, making any rainstorm a treat to be savored from the king size bed in the master bedroom or the comfy white, slipcovered sofa in the living room, snuggled in with a good book.

In the living room, enjoy your favorite entertainment on the 50” flatscreen Smart TV with premium cable and Samsung surround sound.

The master bedroom has a wonderful view of the pool and offers a king-size luxury mattress. The coastal decor will remind you that you are waking up at the beach. The master bedroom closet is fully organized and built out for easy access to bed linens and clothes...and speaking of bed linens...satin quilt and high quality sheets make you feel like you are in a five star resort.

The second bedroom has a queen-size PranaSleep mattress and a view of the pool. The built-in closet offers plenty of room for bathing suits, shorts and sun dresses for daytime shopping and nighttime dining.

The bathroom suite is perfectly designed for privacy and functionality with a vanity and toilet adjoining each bedroom, leading into a double-sized shower with custom tile and pebble floor. Bed linens, bath and beach towels are provided to guests.

Inside, the fully equipped kitchen with oversized SS refrigerator and freezer opens to a bonus family room and to the living room. The kitchen is South Beach inspired with modern glass cabinets and black granite, accented by a modern, contemporary chandelier.

Enjoy cocktails for two poolside, or entertain friends on the long elegant white table with backyard steaks on the grill among the twinkling lights in the trees and custom outdoor lighting.

There is off-street parking for two cars, but why drive when you can use the Delray Downtowner? This free shuttle service to and from the vivacious Delray downtown area and the nearby beaches will pick you up at your doorstep, just call for a pick up. This lavish home is centrally located with bike rentals a few blocks away, grocery shopping, pharmacy and liquor store are all within walking distance.

Additional amenities include five burner gas grill for outdoor entertaining, beach umbrella and beach chairs. Our villa is pet-friendly on approval, unlike most luxury properties.

Rent both of our villas (Villa Athena) for your family reunion, birthday, anniversary, or special trip with friends. They are adjoining villas, each with its own private pool, but they can be opened so that your family or friends can flow from one to the other. Each has two bedrooms, 1-1/2 baths, and each has its own private pool. You can have morning coffee at one pool, and sunset cocktails at the other.

Why Choose Delray Beach?

When you stay in the “Village by the Sea,” you will instantly feel the warm and friendly atmosphere that makes downtown Delray Beach such a joy to visit.

Delray Beach’s art district boasts a vibrant, bustling art scene in its trendy downtown with almost 30 galleries, an artists alley and two live theaters in walking distance from the villa. Come “downtown” and do one of the monthly artwalks, meet the shopkeepers and the entire community known as a Sociable City and recently awarded 'Best of the Road - Most Fun Small Town in America' by Rand McNally & USA Today.

There is certainly no shortage of things to do in Delray. Whether you're into extreme sports or wine tasting, there is something for everyone. With over 110 restaurants, 52 spas & salons and 50 retail shops and boutiques, you have plenty of choices for the days you don’t want to bask on the beach or by your own pool. The Delray Saturday farmers market, regular street festivals and clean, elegant public beach make this walking village unlike most places in Florida or other beach towns in the U.S. Come visit and see why a Delray Beach vacation is the way the beach was meant to be.

Atlantic Avenue was recently rated one of Top 10 Great Shopping Streets by USA Today!

We Have Been Providing Beautiful Homes & Villas on VRBO Since 2005.

Superhouse & Superhost!!

Sandra & I were teaching our baby to swim when we started to look for a house in Delray Beach. The heated salt water pool at Garland & Joy’s Santorini property was an obvious attraction to us as renters. Santorini’s proximity to downtown Delray Beach (& family 15 minutes away) also garnered our interest. One week before our arrival, we drove by Santorini to look at the house. It turned out that Santorini’s outdoor furnishings, & continuously flowering landscaped grounds were also attractive. It was not just a practical & comfortable space to enjoy outside, every day, but it was also beautiful in a way which created peace, relaxation, & was a happy space for swimming, being alone, & social gatherings. We therefore rented for 1 month w/ an extension

Santorini, the house, like most of the houses on the street is unremarkably setback off of a typically low traffic, residential road in a suburban (Palm Trails) neighborhood w/ sidewalks. The house itself is walking distance from the Intercoastal waterway & popular Atlantic Avenue, w/ Walgreens, Publix, & a locally owned Farmer’s Grocery Market nearby. The house is a “split ranch” architecture & interior, w/ a 2-bedroom Jack & Jill layout (rooms connected by individual toilets & sinks but sharing a shower in between), vaulted ceilings, overhead fans in both bedrooms, & an updated kitchen w/ enormous freezer & refrigerator space. All furnishings were lavishly comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, & ample enough for a family of 4 plus several guests. The non-kitschy elegant beach-themed artwork adorning each of the rooms was also a bonus.

We spent most of our time in the south-facing Master bedroom which had ample shaded windows which allowed for lots of light. It was very comfortable, quiet, & airy. Occasionally, we used the 2nd bedroom for nursing our 4-month-old son throughout the night. In the day, the 2nd bedroom floor provided for a good play space for our son to practice tummy time, & for guests to have a bathroom & changing room for the pool. The house had excellent wi-fi & TV hookups.

Our Superhost, Garland made our stay worthwhile. He is a magnanimous man. He was not only responsive & quick to answer any questions that we had, provide us w/ help, or repair any problems; he was a stakeholder in our happiness, showing kindness, respect, thoughtfulness. generosity, & enthusiasm. He’s also fun to talk to! Sandra & I will definitely wish to rent Santorini again w/ Garland next time we return to Delray Beach.

A slice of paradise in Delray Beach

First and foremost the owners are great. They met us at the house when we arrived and took the time to explain everything about the house/pool and then discussed the area. Over the next two weeks, they checked in multiple times to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. A first class experience. The house is great and the location is excellent. It is near Atlantic Avenue so walking is certainly doable but easy escape route to George Bush Blvd to get to A1A to avoid driving on Atlantic Avenue. It is close to various stores including Publix and it is easy to run up and down Rt.1 to other areas.
